1. Introduction

Welcome to Megafone. We're a platform that helps fans ask questions and hold organisations accountable. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of megafone.app and any associated services (“the Platform”). Please read them carefully before using Megafone.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Platform in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use Megafone. We may update these Terms from time to time — continued use of the Platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

3. What Megafone Does

Megafone is a campaign platform for fans of sports clubs, leagues, and events. It allows users to:

• Create campaigns directed at organisations, including questions and context
• Support campaigns created by others
• Engage with responses from organisations
• Share campaigns with other fans

Megafone acts as a platform connecting fans and organisations. We do not represent, and are not affiliated with, any of the organisations featured on the Platform.

4. User Accounts

To create campaigns or add your support, you must register for an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials secure
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring the information you provide is accurate and up to date

You must be at least 13 years old to use Megafone. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

5. User-Generated Content

Users are responsible for all content they post on Megafone — including campaign headlines, questions, summaries, comments, and links.

You agree not to post content that:

• Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Is defamatory or likely to damage someone's reputation without basis
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of any person or organisation
• Contains personal data about others without their consent
• Is deliberately misleading or factually false
• Promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence

By posting content, you grant Megafone a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content as part of operating the Platform. You retain ownership of your content.

6. Our Rights as a Platform

Megafone reserves the right to:

• Remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem harmful
• Suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms
• Moderate or close campaigns that we consider inappropriate
• Edit campaign metadata (e.g. category, associated organisation) for accuracy

We will aim to exercise these rights fairly and transparently, but we are not obligated to provide advance notice before removing content or suspending an account.

7. No Guarantee of Responses

Megafone provides tools to help fans ask questions and build support. However, we cannot guarantee that any organisation will respond to a campaign, engage with its content, or take any action as a result. The Platform does not make commitments on behalf of any third-party organisation.

8. Limitation of Liability

Megafone is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform — including loss of data, missed outcomes from campaigns, or actions taken (or not taken) by organisations in response to campaigns.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. On termination, your campaigns and contributions may remain visible on the Platform unless you specifically request their removal.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves. When we make significant changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We may also notify you by email if we consider the changes material. Your continued use of Megafone following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
